Singing with Us

Manchester Bach Choir welcomes everyone who has an interest in, and experience of, singing. We perform a range of music, much of it baroque and classical, to a high standard. Our rehearsals have a friendly but hardworking atmosphere. Some sight-reading ability will be necessary and individual practice is essential if your sight-reading is developing. Learning by ear, supported by practice at a keyboard or using midi files/learning CDs, is also valuable. Previous singing experience is very helpful but not essential.

We rehearse on Tuesday evenings, 7:45pm to 9:45pm, at St Andrew's Community Church, Hall Street, Stockport, SK1 4DU. (View Map)

At present we are keen to recruit new members, especially sopranos and tenors. You can try us out for two or three weeks to see if we are the kind of choir that suits your interest and ability. You will, however, have a vocal review after you have sung with the choir for a few weeks. If you are interested in joining the choir or just want to find out a bit more about us, why not contact us?
